I Spy Travel Bag Creative thoughts from Craftster Guest Blogger SevsOnlyGirl

If you have small children and have to take them anywhere in the car, you know how important it is to keep them busy! lil_abi made this I Spy Bag for her supervisor’s child and they look so easy, you could whip one up for your next trip to town quickly! It’s easy to fill – just use polyfill, rice, beans, what-have-you and then put in 30-50 small items of your choosing – things like buttons and small animals.

The kids will spend the entire ride finding the items in the bag and you’ll have a peaceful ride!

Cute idea. I’ve also used small, plastic soda bottles for this too.

    That’s a great idea too, Joni! 🙂

Very creative! I love the idea of putting in as many small things as you can. I am sure it will keep the kids busy.

  4. Cool idea! Very creative. Thanks for sharing this! I am pretty sure it is not only kids who will enjoy that, anyone who is bored enough on a long drive. hah!

  5. Hah! That’s so clever trick! 30-50 small items are just a few to kids who always wanted to see/get new things. It is like they being enticed to look for more!

These are great! I made a set when my teenager was very young & eventually his sister inhereted them. Now that she’s outgrown them we cut them open & took all the fun items out to use for other crafts like jewelry & collage. Years of fun!

Ooh, I love that you later reused the items, too!

  8. sweets4ever says:
