Project Giveaway Winner: HippieKender!
Congrats HippieKender! You’ll be receiving all of the fabulous crafts in this article!!
Since Christmas is right around the corner, I’ve made some great craft projects using new die templates from Spellbinders.  I love these new templates!
Spellbinders Christmas Dies

I used the 2010 Heirloom Ornament set, which includes five different sizes, and the 2010 Holiday Trees set, with three different sizes of trees to make all the Christmas craft projects you see photographed here! These die template sets are a part of the 2010 Seasonal Christmas Line from Spellbinders. Other cute dies in this seasonal line include Poinsettias and Mittens!

I used the middle size Christmas tree dies and some beautiful double sided scrapbook paper to make a set of 10 Christmas tree gift tags. After I cut the trees out using a Spellbinders die cut machine, I edged the sides with an old ink pad, punched a small hole and added a pretty ribbon.

This ornament was made by nesting two of the largest ornament dies and cutting them out. For the center of the ornament, I used the smallest tree shape. I cut two of the tree shapes out, and sandwiched them together with a piece of thread in the center so I could tie the tree between the two holes I punched in the top and bottom of the ornament. Add a couple of shiny stars and a pretty ribbon, and it’s ready to hang on your tree!

From Spellbinders: Reminiscent of a Victorian era glass ornament. This spire shaped Nestabilities® set will allow for making frames, cards and dimensional ornaments for the Christmas tree.

Here’s a sweet little frame to help preserve your favorite Christmas memory. I covered a wooden frame with candy cane scrapbook paper, inked the edges, and then added a tree cut from the largest die. To get the layered look of the tree, I cut the shape out of four different patterned papers, and then cut and layered each section of the tree. A little glitter “snow” is sprinkled on all the branches.

From Spellbinders: A new shape of holiday trees for nesting and decorating. The wide pine tree shape is perfect for fall through Christmas, plus all the outdoor activities through the rest of the year. Nest them to make frames, or stack and layer for height and dimension.

Here’s a little covered Altoid tin, which will make the perfect reusable gift wrap for a small gift or gift card. I covered the tin in green papers, and then used the smallest of the ornament dies to make the design for the top of the tin. Again, I cut several of the shapes, and then cut and layered the pieces. A little touch of gold Dresden trim adds some sparkle. Once I finished the top design, I wrapped a thin ribbon around the edge of the tin and added a little charm. Spellbinders tin
