Free Vintage Embroidery Patterns & Designs Galore

I was just looking at the recent projects on the Craftster Forum and was reminded of this website called which has high-res PDF versions of tons of old embroidery patterns. When you go to the site, click on Library and then Designs. Then you can print the design, trace it onto fabric with an iron-on transfer pen and stitch away!

Here are some things Craftster members have stitched with patterns from this site…

If you go to and click on Library and then Articles, it gives you information about how to transfer the design onto fabric.

how do you get the design to the fabric? do you sew through the paper, or iron it on?

  5. Jen says:

I’m thinking of doing miniaturized ones to be used as solder pendants. Thanks for the post! Also, I found the pinup with the “lipstick.” That is a bit strange for the content of that site, dontcha think? I wonder if she realizes that’s NOT lipstick! lol

  8. Hello,

I help Maria Filosa manage her blog at Maria is the official designer for UHU glue. I am going to put a link to the craftster blog on Maria’s site -she liked it very much.

I also have some possibilities for your “Hot Supply Tips” and “Reviews” categories. UHU is looking for craft bloggers to review its glue products. UHU sends out samples free of charge, and all they would like back is a review posted on the blog. UHU is looking for feedback on their products.

You can find out more info on this program on Maria’s blog, but I was wondering if you would be willing to help publicize the program by putting a post about it on this blog.

Also, if anyone at craftster wants to try out UHU products, let me know. Send me your mailing address and I will send you samples.

I can be reached at [email protected] if any of this sounds good to you. =) ~Jeremy
