Lumalive. Fabric of the Future?

Randomly Spotted on the Galactic Interweb…

This amazing new fabric from Philips is called Lumalive. Apparently it has tiny integrated LEDs IN the fabric, that still allow it to remain soft and move naturally. I hope this will be available to us “regular folks” some day! Meanwhile, enjoy the video!

I’d love to sell this stuff on
I wanna live in the future so bad!!

  2. Lori says:

I have two visions for the future on this. One is a futurisitic version of the standard godawful Christmas sweater sync’ed up with the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation-type house decorations.

The second (and much cooler) is if they have wireless access to control an individual shirt, then raves/concerts could use the audience as part of their light show.

  3. Like we dont’ have enough A.D.D. already. ha ha

This stuff is actually a panel that is interwoven in clothing, with a small micro chip and power cell that gets removed before you wash it, I saw this on a TV show like 2 years ago, Its a ciliallin version of a technology that the military uses to digitally camouflage certain uniforms, now that would be trippy at a rave… I blink like the lights!

  5. Dra says:

That is amazing I would definitely buy that if it were available to me.
I agree with Lori, this would be awesome in a rave

  6. Alisha says:

Disney has been using this technology for at least 20 years. Main Street Electrical Parade or SpectroMagic anyone?
