Lisa Hannigan Crafts and music go together like bees and butterflies – both come from the same garden. Some of our favorite musicians are also Crafters! Here we celebrate the intersection of music and craft, a place where magic happens. Some of these Crafty musicians are using video as the medium to combine their multiple passions and talents. In this recurring feature we will share some great crafty videos we’ve found.

Lisa Hannigan is an Irish singer-songwriter who has collaborated with Damian Rice, The Frames, and Herbie Hancock. Her album is called “Sea Sew” which she is said to have chosen after spending time embroidering the lyrics of the songs! Even her website is super cute and crafty! Lisa doesn’t have just one crafty video, she has two beautiful videos featuring amazing papercrafts. Check them out.

ahh i love lisa hannigan, i’ve seen her perform with damien several times & her voice has always blown me away (though i’m not sure these songs, lovely & gorgeous as they are, really do justice to it). i’m SO happy to see she’s a crafty person too! hooray!

I love these crafty videos too! Maeve Clancy is the Irish artist who did the papercutting for the video, I Don’t Know. You can see behind the scenes pics and read more about the videos on my blog, All Things Paper.

I love that second video a ton.

It’s so true that crafting is a natural partner with music. My hubby’s band did a music video that’s pretty crafty in that they got together with a local live action role playing group and they almost all made their own costumes and weapons it was pretty cool

I have been a Lisa Hannigan fan for a while now. My favorite song is “I don’t Know”. Such a great video! Her CD is what I listen to when I sew and I am so glad that she is being highlighted here!
