Fiber Sleeve We’re starting a new recurring article here on the ol’ Craftster blog: CrafTATstic Crafty Tattoos. Lots of Craftsters like to wear their love of crafting on their sleeve… or… any other body part, really! There are tons of fabulous crafty tats floating around and we’re going to show them some love and maybe give you some inspiration at the same time!

Our first featured tattoo is from LUBEE. LUBEE’s sleeve is fantastic. It covers lots of different aspects of fiber crafting all in one harmonious piece. She has sheep giving wool, a woman spinning on her Ashford Elizabeth spinning wheel, and the spun fiber flowing around and down to a ball of yarn with knitting needle stuck inside. It’s a gorgeous tattoo that will hopefully keep inspiring LUBEE and others for years to come!

Amazing! My tattoos have a vintage (and feminist theme, hard to explain!). I love it. You’re lucky to find a fabulous tattoo artist. The guy who does mine is brilliant, too. Fabulous!!!

  17. notanotherxerox says:

Love this idea for an article and hope to see a lot of them! My only craft-inspired tattoo so far is a skull and cross bones except the bones are replaced with scissors and I have a matching one on the other arm except with safety pins. I can’t wait to get more since making things is such a big part of my life.

This is such a beautiful tattoo:)

  18. LUBEE says:

I have to say i wasn’t expecting to scroll down the home page and see my arm.
First thank you for ALL of the wondeerful comments!
and now to anwser some of your question:
I have been working on the tattoo for over a year now…..the ball of yarn and knitting needles was the first to kick start the arm..
The artists name is Stevie Floyd and she works out of St. Augstine,FL at Pegasus Gallery.
new and updated picture can be found on my flicker page but i will try to upload them to craftster very soon.
    Thank you again.

  19. Retrochic83 says:

wow! I have been knitting and crocheting for a little over 10 years now and I never thought of having that worked into a tattoo! I don’t know why, it just never occured to me that I could show my love for this “art form” in such a way … wonderful idea! Now I need to come up with something for me that displays my love for my “abilities” in a way that is just as tasteful for me!

    thank you for the inspiration!

  20. jungrrl says:
