This month’s challenge was called Supermarket Sacrilege. The challenge was to spend no more than $15 at a supermarket and to make something that was functional or wearable and totally awesome and unexpected out of what you buy.

There were tons of great entries for this challenge! There was a Virgin de Guadelupe shrine, homemade laundry soap, and even a wedding dress!

The winner of this month’s challenge is boogaloo with her entry titled “Barack BEAN-bama!”

This was based on Shepard Fairey’s “Progress” poster. Boogaloo says the function of this piece was “To get out the vote, inspire discussion, and act as my Obama poster since they were a limited edition run and I couldn’t get one”. Boogaloo is the winner of any one item of her choosing from Craftster’s Spreadshirt or CafePress shop!
