Christmas Countdown

Hard to believe, but Christmas is less than three weeks away! Remember how December dragged by when we were kids? Now the days are just flying by, at least for the adults.  Help everyone keep track of the days before Christmas with an advent calendar!

lindyv321 purchased a blank advent kit, and used washi tape and number stickers to make the perfect countdown for her teen daughter. The first box held a bracelet, and the following boxes each contained Christmas charms to add to the bracelet. At the end of the month, her daughter will have a full charm bracelet.

tiamatfire knit 25 little mittens to hang, each with a number on the front. Any number of things could be tucked inside, like candy, small toys, or even a nice note.
Here’s an advent tree with sweet little ornaments, each with a design beautifully cross stitched by itsmereba. What fun to hang a new ornament on the tree every day.
KarenLouiseM made a set of decorated numbered cards that are displayed on a festive decorated box. Each day, the appropriate card is clipped to the front of the box to remind you how near Christmas really is.
No time to make a complicated countdown? Here’s a great idea from Ezri_B, who made a Harry Potter advent calendar with mismatched socks. Each sock contains a family activity based on the books.

Fa la la, keep that Christmas spirit all month long! To see more Christmas countdowns, click on the Craftster tag “advent calendar“.
