Black and White and Red All Over

What’s black and white and red all over? A newspaper? A penguin with sunburn? An embarrassed zebra? Not today: today it’s awesome projects that are black and white and red. I found some great ones, so buckle up!

Now, it’s possible I’m biased because one of my favorite Craftster projects was done by my daughter, BananaAmbush. This photo is from her exit show for her BFA. It’s part of an installation entitled “Christopher’s Room”.

I love a circus, and this sideshow is the perfect tiny interactive book. Even though it’s only 3 1/2″ tall, pottermouth managed to cram in all sorts of fun details, which is a trick unto itself.
Watch out for sky pirates! This zeppelin by Knickertwist is made mainly of paper (wow!), but has all sorts of fantastic Steampunk details.
Why wear your heart on your sleeve when you could hang it on a banner for all to see? Homerof2 made this beautiful quilted hanging for a lucky swap partner.
OK, I’ll admit I cheated a bit on this one. There’s no red in it, but it’s so black and white and fab that I had to include it with all these other great projects. This portrait of Horace Femm is actually needlework! I am totally in awe of this stitched masterpiece by Ludi.

So there you go: the best answer to “what’s black and white and red all over?” comes straight from the pages of Craftster. Who knew?
