There are so many wonderful examples of reconstructed clothing on Craftster that I just had to highlight a few. Look what wonderful garments these seamstresses have created!

I love this dress by jillrbassett. She constructed it from a vintage tablecloth purchased at a thrift store. The pattern is so fresh and fun.

No one would ever guess that this dress by violentjayne is made from a men’s t-shirt from Walmart!
Rascal Kosher‘s thread contains several cute skirts and aprons, all made from little girls’ dresses! What a clever idea; the transformations are amazing.
This pinup halter dress by duckjustaduck began its life as a men’s shirt. If you’d like to make one of your own, be sure to check out her tutorial.
Here’s another great men’s shirt recon with a tutorial: a fun and flirty maternity dress by GeekySweetheart.

For these and more examples of reconstructed clothing, be sure to click on the Craftster tags “recon” and “reconstructed“.

I so much like the skirt made from little girls’ dresses…indeed a clever idea and you just gave me an idea on what to do with my sisters’ old dresses…another addition to my recon clothes…most of my clothes are recon, it gives uniqueness since it isn’t taken out of a department store or a boutique…thanks for sharing this idea. 😉
