Beach Crafts!

It’s so fun to gather driftwood and shells on a trip to the beach. Here are some wonderfully inspiring crafts I found using these beach souvenirs.

I absolutely love these painted driftwood houses by LimeRiot. They’re so bright and cheery!

Remember your walk on the beach forever with a lovely weaving, like this one by Trekky. She incorporated slate and a piece of driftwood to create this beautiful piece.
Here’s a delightfully quirky use of driftwood: blupaisan attached doll arms to make this one of a kind jewelry holder for her daughter.
What can you do with shells, besides put them in a glass jar for display? If you find some with holes in them, paint them and wear them as jewelry. kitschbitch posted an easy tutorial for making necklaces, like this one with a seashell pendant.
erica_tattoos used a large shell and other found items to make this summery gypsy suncatcher. Won’t that be beautiful, softly swaying in the wind?

It’s always fun to incorporate natural materials into craft projects. Next time you’re at the beach, keep an eye out for those pretty shells and the driftwood that’s washed up upon the shore. You never know when you’ll need them to add the perfect touch to your project!
