HOLY CRAP- yes, it totally is a Turkish puzzle ring. My dad is the only other person that I've met that knows what it is. He got one when he was in Turkey ages ago and I found mine at a little crafts thing a couple of years ago. Where'd you get yours? And don't you just love it? I think they are so freaking cool. Smiley

Cassia got my gift (a surprise) and she likes it! Smiley *sigh of relief*

I sent her several items like candy, two quilting magazines, and a handmade lined zippered pouch!

It was only when I drove up to the post office that I realized I didn't have a photo of my pouch!! Luckily my boyfriend had his digital camera with him. So I was able to get a photohgraph taken in the dimly-lit underground parking lot in an impromtu "back of the car" shoot.. Heh.

Please feel free to post your other photos, Cassia! Smiley I hope you had a great birthday!

I received from alwaysinmyroom today and I feel so special!

She made me a beautiful beach tote and included all the little things I would need at the beach ie. Band-aids, tissues, note paper and pen, emery board, baby oil, hand sanitizer, tic tac's in case any hot guys were to swing our way (hehehe), and change (in american money but oh well). The tote is very well done - very professional.

I may have to wait until summer to use it - note the woollen coat and scarf I am wearing - it snowed a little bit today, and my umbrella blew out 3 times on the way to my lectures.

Hehehe! I love it! alwaysinmyroom - you rock.
THANK-YOU SO MUCH!

Ha ha--Here we all are sweating and modeling our knitted woolies that our friends in NZ and AUSTRALIA have sent to us and you guys are doing the opposite!! How funny!!  I did the same type of thing for the I Love Paisley Swap--sent my partner summer totes!!

Bless her heart, she carried it in the cold miserable rain and must have gotten weird looks--ha ha!!

I was wondering why one of your wishes was a beach bag...thought maybe you were going to come visit us, ha ha!!

Glad you like it, and hope that it will be useful in a few more months!! ha ha

You know you look ridiculous, right? ha ha Cheesy

PS Mom always told me it is good luck to include money in all bags!! It wasn't until I looked at the AUS postal regs that I found out it is a "no no"!! No coins allowed? wooo--don't spend that 50 cents or so all in one place!!! ha ha

I received from the lovely Cassia! Here's a pic of the whole shebang.

She sent a monster pillow (her first stuffie! didn't she do a GREAT job?), a plastic bin for storing and organizing beads and other craft goodies, and a whole bunch of CANDY! (or rather, sweets)

thanks so much, Cassia! This was a terrific and super-thoughtful birthday gift!
