I finally got to the point of needing a knitting needle roll..I am so happy about the tutes that are here..

I did have a question..can I hand sew the roll..I am a knitter and not much of a sew'r..I have a sewing friend that is making me a roll but truthfully I'd really like to learn so that I can get different fabrics..

I was thinking of using placemats so that I dont have to worry too much about the edges..

any advice for this very novice would be great Smiley

Oh yes! You should be able to do them by hand and using placemats is an excellent idea! Please post after you make one. Smiley

needle roll closed

needle roll open

I hand sewed as I am not very coordinated with my sewing machine..pardon the crooked stitches and such..it was my first and just for me soo..there it is in all its glory..

That's such a good idea to use a placemat! And, if it holds your needles, who cares if the stitching is crooked. Looks good to me!

Thanks for the tutes! I've been wanting to make a needle roll for awhile now.  Whenever I get around to actually making it, I'll be sure to share pics. Smiley

Thank you so much for this thread!! I love having all these tutes in one spot. I've made a couple needle rolls but never bookmarked where I got them. This thread rocks! Everyone rolls are such great inspiration!
