so my birth control comes in these little pink plastic boxes, and i'm thinking....there has to be a good use for these. problem is, i haven't found one.  they're pretty shallow, and then there are the holes where the pills pop out, but they seem like they should be good for something.  the best i could think of was business card holders.

any ideas?

Yeah, a photo of what the case looks like would help..
I know when I used to take those..mine came in those odd little sort of roundish cases..
but I know there are lots of other shapes in the cases nowadays..

With all those little holes one could try weaving some pretty ribbons or threads through them and still use them for holding stuff.

Maybe you could cover the holes with little beads or jewels, and if there is a flat space inside of where the holes are, glue a mirror?

you could put a mirror on the inside on the container and design the outside of it to make a cute compact.

i work at a pharmacy and im always so tempted to steal the various selection or little cute boxes hehe. but with the ones i do have at home i glued a mirror to one and some paper one the side with the holes . and with another box i decoupaged the outside and cut up paper to fit into the box to make it a little note card carrier. idk what else to do but hope this helps. i was thinking maybe decoupage the outside and make them into cool magnets.

i finally thought of a good idea for those little cases......a needle case!!!  i glued a magnet to the bottom to store all of my needles, and then decorated the rest.  i think i'm going to make a few more, one for sewing, one for leather needles, one for beading needles...etc.

i love re using stuff.  basically i love cheap projects....

it seems to work really well, and now my needles are organized and portable!  let me know what you guys think.

Not sure if you know any little girls, but you could re-create them into some sort of Barbie Luggage set?

wow, cool ideas!!! i just started my pills again, and i used to have the roundies,
new pill, new shape i guess! i cant stand plain things, so first thing i did, a week beofr e i could even USE the damn thing, was sticker it!! im going to try and make it more permanant( clear glue, or something???), but i hope they give me a new case everytime..( dont remember if they do). i assume they do though..

i think you could shove a tissue or two in them, shove em in your purse..
perfect for when you need a tissue.
the sewing needles idea is GREAT, and looks very lovely.
business cards, and id works too. mabe if you have a little change, use it for change...

i do hope my next pill, if i stay with them, is a box though.

I travel alot, and have the kind that comes in those really ungly pinkish boxes. I'd never thought of doing anything with them or I would have kept them! I definately will from now on. Anyway.. I'm thinking about decorating one and using it to keep stamps in.  I like the condom holder idea. I have a cousin who is just reacently sexually active. I'm thinking I could decorate it with something I think she'd like and stick some condoms in there for her. No embarrasing moment of them falling out of her purse at an inconvenient moment or anything like that.

COMPACTS! haha. awesome. I actually wanted to make a compact out of something. unfortunately im on levora which is like that rectangular salmon pink box.. not the most exciting. i love the organization things too. it seems so wasteful to chuck them out, especially when you get 3 months at a time>< lol.

I was just chunking my old in the recycling bin. I have to go fish it out. I love the idea of organizing your needles in them. Mines the "triple decker" and would go great for sorting different size needles. Awesome!!

-Thanks!!

I use them for condoms, too.  I had the oval-ish things at first, and those are good if you just fold the corner in a bit.  I get the plasticy blue envelopes now, which still work for condoms.  I think.  I don't know how well they protect, but at least they're better than just having them loose in purse.

Taking OrthoTricylclen Lo each month means I am left with a lot of extra clamshells, what a WASTE! Rather than reusing them, I wish we could REDUCE the number of plastic shells produced and put into circulation.

I just phoned the company and spoke to 2 very polite representatives. I was able to place a product complaint regarding the packaging. However it is not likely the company will take note from just one complaint. To call Janssen use the number below. I also listed the address so we could mail our extra clamshells back along with a letter to reinforce our complaint.

Janssen Medical Information can be reached by phone at 1-800-JANSSEN

I have the kind that come in a blue sleeve. I have been saving them for a while and finally found something useful to do with them. I use them as little storage pockets for different thread I'm using on embroidery projects. Helps me out so I don't have to go searching for the right color, plus makes it portable if I'm taking my project with me somewhere!
