I made this baby quilt last summer for my sister's youngest boy. They moved to New Brunswick a couple of years ago so she calls him her Maritime Baby.

It might not be noticeable but the red squares actually have white polkadots in them. This quilt is a little more traditional than what I would make for myself but my sister really liked it. In fact, she hung it on the baby's wall instead of letting him use it even though I begged her not to (I like functional art).

I'm hoping to make more quilts this summer.

You're pulling our legs about this being your first quilt, right? This is SO terrific! VERY excellent work!

I concur - that's amazing for a first quilt.  I *wish* my corners lined up so well on mine.

Thanks! It is actually the first quilt that I finished because I started another one years before that is still in pieces. Also, I have been sewing for many years  so that really helped.

That is a fantastic quilt!

A shame it's hung on the wall!  I did that with baby quilts my sons got from my Dad but not until they were older and had outgrown them.
