I made this baby quilt last summer for my sister's youngest boy. They moved to New Brunswick a couple of years ago so she calls him her Maritime Baby.



It might not be noticeable but the red squares actually have white polkadots in them. This quilt is a little more traditional than what I would make for myself but my sister really liked it. In fact, she hung it on the baby's wall instead of letting him use it even though I begged her not to (I like functional art).



I'm hoping to make more quilts this summer.

Thanks! It is actually the first quilt that I finished because I started another one years before that is still in pieces. Also, I have been sewing for many years  so that really helped.

That is a fantastic quilt!

A shame it's hung on the wall!  I did that with baby quilts my sons got from my Dad but not until they were older and had outgrown them.
