I have always always wanted to stick big pink flamingos on my lawn, but because I don't actually have a lawn and because I really need a bedside table lamp, I created this - the Flamingo Flower Garden Lawn Lamp (or Shrine):

http://tk.files.storage.msn.com/x1pAdjo0uCo2H0bGCQAMvrPzRWSlYqTIkbMgHO_blKkZyqWqsYyuqTPt2CX0kyvmLF-h8C6ivaalgkks9qiPqntUiTi_gYl2EhkcXCFYeog3KBtYCFQVsCEllm6W5BSvg063w3EaU8Lifirm0HHpqw7J_ZrOtDz_SJg
http://tk.files.storage.msn.com/x1pAdjo0uCo2H0bGCQAMvrPzRWSlYqTIkbMgHO_blKkZyqytAy7YQvgJ9iiuauHZuEXdNheTLXRyP7OXVJQ3BGAbKqV5Y9K5tdnlKUwEw0_rhz_nL3bUjLYfkKTJmZQir4C4-i9hvWq3SNuUXq7dhkqtsmr5B7QnxD4

The three items I used for the list were pom-poms for the flamingo bodies and heads, pipe cleaners for their necks and legs, and popsicle sticks for the picket fence. I added a gnome to the garden (because no garden is complete without a gnome!) that I got for the Gnome Swap.

Here is a picture of the lawn without the background:

http://tk.files.storage.msn.com/x1pAdjo0uCo2H0bGCQAMvrPzRWSlYqTIkbMgHO_blKkZypYO4D6ytFwbcN47PnE29c4g1m0GBNhYsBlKgSd0NhtxAemkCzAmq2IkzkZREH3NcahGwjk1ZWuJXHu6W2PLxn38H2GLLh3WxyE_BV_Me8PX_92kIw8uxe1

The lawn is made from grassy-looking fabric, which covers the wooden base. I drilled holes in the base to stick the flowers and flamingos in.

The garden background by itself:

The background is a collage of flowers, mushrooms and lawn statues that I rescued from a bunch of garden magazines my mother-in-law was throwing out.

And here is a picture of the finished lamp with the flower lights out:

Thanks for looking!
