I have always always wanted to stick big pink flamingos on my lawn, but because I don't actually have a lawn and because I really need a bedside table lamp, I created this - the Flamingo Flower Garden Lawn Lamp (or Shrine):

The three items I used for the list were pom-poms for the flamingo bodies and heads, pipe cleaners for their necks and legs, and popsicle sticks for the picket fence. I added a gnome to the garden (because no garden is complete without a gnome!) that I got for the Gnome Swap.

The lawn is made from grassy-looking fabric, which covers the wooden base. I drilled holes in the base to stick the flowers and flamingos in.

The background is a collage of flowers, mushrooms and lawn statues that I rescued from a bunch of garden magazines my mother-in-law was throwing out.

What a great idea!! I don't have a yard yet love flamingos and of course, Gnomes.....I may have to make myself a garden lamp for my craft room!!! Great idea!
