crocheted stuffed monster toy (+ pattern/tutorial)

i call him "mr. manic depression." he has a face to fit both happy moods and horrible moods.
happy/friendly/productive-member-of-society-side
sad/hateful/about-to-eat-you side
i made each side individually, all in single stitch except for the ears, where i went single-double-triple-(whatever the next biggest is called)-triple-double-single. then i just crocheted the sides together.

i'll try and set up a pattern for it. i just freehanded the thing, but i'm sure i can come up with something retroactively
i've actually done that with crocheting in public, too. in fact, when i was about fifteen i went through a period where i was just freehanding hats everywhere i went, about one a day. i was actually doing them at stop signs when i was driving! then i had to teach all of the boys i habitually hung out with, too. i think we were the only band of hooligans the town had ever seen that ran around in technicolor berets made from red heart yarn

here's a pattern, or reasonable fascimile thereof:
ears-
ch 20
rw 1: *1 single stitch, 1 half-double, 1 double, 1 triple, 1 double, 1 half-double, 1 single*, slip st 6, repeat from * to *
flip work around so that your ears are arching downwards, and ss along the bottom of the ears, ch 1 for turning ch in every following row
rw 2-23: ss 20
rw 24: ss to end of row, ch 6 out
rw 25: ss in each of the 6 new loops, work across original 20, ch 6 out again
rw 26: #ss in each of the 6 new loops, work across original 20, ss in 6 on the other side#
rw 27-32: repeat from # to #
rw 33: ss 26
rw 34-40: ss 20
feet-
rw 1: continuing from bottom of body, ss 7
rw 2-6: ss 7
rw 7: ss 7, then slip stitch back down the inside edge of the foot, slip stitch 6 along the bottom of the body, single stitch 7
rw 8-13: ss 7
make two of these.
tail:
ch 8
rw 1: in front loops of chain, 1 hds, 1 ds, 1ts, 1ds, 1 hds. turn around and repeat in back loops.
rw 2: alternate color. 1 ts, 1 ds, 1 hds, 1 ds, 1 ts, repeat.
rw 3: alternate color. 1 hds, 1 ds, 1 ts, 1 ds, 1 hds, repeat.
rw 4: repeat rw 2
rw 5: repeat rw 3
rw 6-11: work ss in the round, decreasing until there are 14 stitches around
construction:
sew on face(s), embellishments, etc, put bodies together so that arms match up, place tail below the arm that is slightly higher up, and crochet together using single stitch
------------------
feel free to ask any questions. i'm sure that was probably kind of confusing. hopefully the more patterns that i write, the better i'll get!
