that is disgusting you all should be ashamed of yourselves i don't see how any selfrespecting person could find such a disgusting and dirty thing funny it sickens me to see that there are people in this world who would do something so vile just for a few laughs.  if you find that i'm being rude i don't care this was well earned.

As my mom used to say, "If you try it, you might like it."

I hope bookworm's response was meant to be funny - the subject line warned you against looking if you were offended.  So next time - don't look!

Some people think that crafts such as knitting and crocheting should stick to the spirit in which they were originally created, doilies and tea cosies. I can see the point, but what is the fun in that. Stagnation impedes progress. And if it was not for very creative people who moved passed the conventional ideas of these crafts and others, there would not be this new found surge of young folks grabbing needles and hooks and taking to the streets( okay so it is not quite that serious). So for those who are offended, they are your feelings and we acknowledge them, but the subject line clearly said

I was curious to find that when I clicked on bookworm's profile, it said MALE.  Perhaps that has something to do with it?  If that's the case, there's someone out there with a vagina purse for you bookworm. Wink  Don't fret!

Ok so I guess I should respond since I sparked a lil' bit of controversy...
I cannot see what is so "disgusting and dirty" about a YARN PENIS?  (right?)

It was just brought to my attention that Bookworm is a male!!!  so now Im confused?
I tried to think of why a male would find a penis disgusting? [Ive had run-ins with male aquaintances that find guy on guy porn "absoulutely gross" but when its 2 grrrls its "hott"]  maybe this is along the same lines as that?Huh

So if thats the case....I hope that this tickles your fancy BOOKWORM....COIN PURSE  (its yarn penis's soul mate!)
And....PILLOW...(penis's nightly dream)

THANK YOU for all of the responses that made me laugh out loud!
This is such a great site and I am so proud to be a part of the community!

Well, ok now Bookworm.  You've got more to "handle" than the average girl, you have to admit.  Sit down, chill out, and make Laamisssa's coin purse and pillow and you'll be "even," ok?

Call me crazy (it wouldn't be the first time), but anytime somebody says some wacky $h*t, I always check out their profile to see the source.  I could've sworn that Bookworm was a girl when I checked a while back...also the signature says "eva"--something or other...
Anyhoo, whether bookworm has a penis or not...bookworm doesn't care for crocheted anatomy.  As many have asked, it is indeed a curious thing as to why bookworm would dare open the thread that suggests the opportunity to see one...here are some theories:
---bookworm really loves them but likes to 'stir the pot' and make us think he/she doesn't
---bookworm is frightened by his/her interest/attraction to them
---bookworm is 12 and wants to make sure that if his/her mom reads his/her content, she would be convinced that bookworm isn't interested in such perversities.
---bookworm has only read about them (being the avid reader that "bookworm" is), but this was bookworm's first visual experience...and there was way too much texture in the visual.
---bookworm's mission in life is to let everyone know how "dirty" and "vile" penises are---EVEN at the risk of being seen as "rude", b/c in bookworm's world, it is "well earned". (Y'know, like those "crusaders" that are on anti-pornography missions, hunting down every last video and magazine and pouring over it's content to declare it...evil?)  Bookworm leaves no stone unturned!
---after seeing the penis on craftster and then looking down his own pants, bookworm was frightened that he wasn't normal anymore...hence the name "bookWORMUndecided

These are merely theories...perhaps you have your own ideas?

If you can tell by the subject line - that you're going to be offended, why bother looking?
Good job, and thanks for the vulva coin purse link.  That was way cute.
