I'd rather be the gypsy
who's camped at the edge of town
the one who has the dancing bear
that follows him around

and he lifts his big foot up
puts his big foot down
then bows..then twirls..
then dances round and round

Hey,those are cool, but I think I see what you're doing wrong. Do you use so much dye that the shaving cream is completely a different colour that white? If you dye all the cream green, the marbled pattern won't come out. Use only a few drops of the food colouring, so some white remains. Nice job on the aqua one... I like the picture idea.

I found this thread while searching the forums... I really like the idea. I'm going to give it a try... maybe later when I get home from tennis practice. I'm also thinking of doing index cards (well, the backs of them) for school.... but it would take a while.

I made some more cards! And something new this time! Here it goes:

This card was made with blue and red dye and a rubberstamp of Roadrunner. Then the words "Meep Meep!" Were added. The matching envelope is under the card... it might be hard to see.

The next card was made with yellow and green dye and a sun/moon rubber stamp. Again, the envelope is under it.

I started a new shaving cream project! Based on the thread I came across, I am beginning to dye some pages in a little notebook I found in my room. Everytime I do a card, I'll do another page with the leftover dyed cream.

Oh, and Eva, nice to hear that another person enjoyed a shaving cream card! I'm thinking of selling them at a craftfair I'm joining... do you all think that'd go well?

Oooh I like the notebook, but I'm wondering if there is way to mute the colors more so that anything that's written on the page would be easier to read?

I was thinking the same thing. All I could think of was to take a bathroom cup, drop the dye into it, and add some water until it's lighter... and then mix with the shaving cream. Might have to try that.

i definitely think that you should sell them at the craft fair....wish we had such a thing here  Cry. on my card, i folded a one-inch square of aluminum foil and, with a pencil, drew a heart design, and then stuck it on a two inch square of white cardstock and then stuck all that on the top half of the marbleized card. on the inside, it said 'love is real (john lennon)'. *insert big 'aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww w!' here* like i said, she loved it. i found though, that i had to press my cards under a big book after i did them..otherwise they were all warped. does this happen to you?

That sounds like an awesome card! And no, mine don't get warped... but my envelopes do. I have to put them in between my desk planner and my desk. I guess it's because of the thin paper...
