I'm so glad to see other people are making this.  I'm using Paton's Classic Wool and just finished the front pieces.  It seems to be a pretty quick knit, and all the stockinette makes it super easy to do while watching tv. 

How does everyone else feel about the front cutout thing?  I'm a bit iffy on it, I like it on the model, but I'm not sure it's something I'd feel comfortable wearing.

I'm going to see how it looks...I figure if I really hate it I'll pull that section apart and have a full rib all the way down and add another button. We shall see!

Now if I can get these sleeves done I will be a happy knitter!

I've hit a bit of a snag  I'm seaming up to get ready to do the buttonbands and the neckband, but I've discovered that my sleeve caps are a bit too big. I'm able to seam them in, but they are a bit looser than I had anticipated. Should I rip the caps to make them more to my liking now? Or should I finish seaming, knit the neckband and buttonbands, and THEN if the caps still aren't quite right, take the sleeves out and redo them?

Good thing I didn't wait for anyone's advice 



I seamed everything together, knit the neckband and button bands, sewed the buttons, THEN reknit the sleeve caps to my liking. Details and modifications are on my blog, of course.
