I was looking at the Twin Cities Craftsters are getting together on May 20, and I really liked the idea. Maybe us Texas craftsters could get together, have a day doing whatever and then craft something, and a clothing swap as well?

That sounds like a lot of fun!

some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names.
All are different colors,
but they all have to learn to live in the same box.

I wish I did have some ideas, but unfortunately I don't.   Actually, I am a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I have yet to actually "get into" Austin (I live on the outskirts of it).  I moved here a little over a year ago, but for some reason I haven't gotten downtown.   I have been dying to get down there, but something ALWAYS comes up.   I know, I know... pretty pathetic. Undecided

I suppose we could meet at a restaraunt.  Or what about a craft fair?  There seems to be a bunch going on around the area.  I wonder if there is anything going on at the Austin Convention Center.  If I remember correctly, there is going to be a bead and Jewelry Show coming up there (although, I'm not sure how many of us would be interested in that).  Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Your not pathetic. I agree-a restaurant would be good. Spiral Diner is an amazing vegan restaurant in Ft. Worth. Or we go to Kalachandji's; on Sunday's (they might do this more than Sunday), they have a free buffet of vegetarian Indian food.(Very good.) (Or any restaurant that is veg-friendly.)

A craft fair sounds nice. But would it cost money? It would be cool to do something that is mostly cheap/free. Or, we could meet at someone's house, (or do this at the restaurant), and we can have a swap, or bring crafts to make. Oh, a what do you guys think of using the Dart Rail/Buses?
