I have made a couple pair of these.  Some girls at my church wanted me to show them how.  We got together one afternoon and made a couple pair.  I forgot to take my camera that day though.  We even made some out of men's polo shirts.  They turned out pretty cute, but we needed a little bigger shirts.  This is the pair that I made for my daughter.  I made a waistband casing out of some fabric I had.  I just put some wide elastic in the casing then. It took no time at all.

Here she is modeling my grocery bag I made as seen here:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0

here is another shot of the waistband.  Sorry about the camera strap, but the camera died and this is the only shot I got.

thanks for the tute!  Can't wait to make some of these!

Crafter, ebay junkie and freebie addict.  Now all I need to do is figure out how to make something out of all my freebies and sell it on ebay.

They look great, and they make your butt look great too!  I say this because I know that type of pants can really do the opposite on some people.  Smiley

They look so comfy.

Thank you for the link to the tutorial!! I finally completed my pants. (First recon project too!) It took awhile because I had to hand sew everything, but otherwise the tutorial was really easy to follow.

The pants are from a green size medium t-shirt with a single breast pocket on the right-hand side, and a gray shirt.  I thought the pocket was really nifty to have for pants. I think it would have looked better if the pocket were in the back, but there was only one pocket, and I thought it would have looked even funnier if there was only one pocket on my butt.  Tongue
