If you don't read Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, you're probably going to think is a truly odd project... and I'll admit it is, but hey.
I recently participated in the Terry Pratchett's Discworld Swap Round II and my partner was Millik. She mentioned in her questionairre that she liked DEATH and the accompanying DEATH of Rats (labeled here on as D.o.R) so after I made her a series of other things, as a surprise I included a knitted D.o.R that she could put on her desk and use to terrorize people. I have only one pic of the D.o.R, and its not the best. The D.o.R is a rat skeleton wearing mini DEATH robes and carrying a mini DEATH scythe:

If you are interested I posted the pattern for him in my blog. Its not just the knitted part in the pattern either.... its the whole shabang.... D.o.R, Robes, and Scythe.

Anything Discworld is cool, but especially Death of Rats. Millik is very lucky!

I am so going to make one of these for my son.  We both finished reading "Reaperman"  earlier this year and we really enjoyed it.  I don't plan to make the rat a cat to ride on but maybe he can work something out with my ill-tempered and ancient (14 yrs) cat.  Very cool!

Love the scythe! It suits D.o.R. well.

DEATH is one of my favorite characters. He's oddly quirky, for being someone who's not supposed to have quirks.
