Moving to Kennewick...

Any fellow crafters in the tri-city area?  I'm moving down in early July and will be all by my lonesome... I'm going to need the heads-up on activities, places to buy supplies, and possibly crafting buddies!

I live in the lower Valley about 1/2 hour from there.  I grew up in Kennewick so if you have any questions just shoot.  The best place to go is Craft Warehouse.  It is in Kennewick on Canal by the mall and also if you knit or crochet there is a specialty yarn store in Richland at the uptown off of George Washington (GW) way. 

Like I said I grew up there so just shoot if you have any questions.

Yeah I love going down to the tric-ites, starbucks, mall etc. But if you want to explore somthing less...........ubra nized??? I would try those hole-in-the-wall coffee shops. They are nice, and can give you a heads up for local bands etc.
Vintage clothing is tricky, because everyone wears the same basic crap. You just really have to look in small papers and do ALOT of googling. But by far reading the tri-cites herald is better.

I'm from Kennewick!
as far as crafting supplies go, there's a few chain stores, like Craft Warehouse and Joanne's and such.  There's also some needlework places, but they're not very hip.  I really like Sandy's in downtown Kennewick for knit fabric.  If you're looking for vintage clothes, there's this great place in Richland called The Rusty Pelican, and 321 in Kennewick has some good stuff too...that's all I can think of right now, hope that helped

I know this late.  I can not believe I missed a craft fair.  I go to the Tri-Cities all the time to visit family.  Hopefully next time I will get to go.  I love the Christmas ones.

ruby - I live in Grandview.  About 30  min from Tri-Cities.  I grew up in the Tri-Cities from 9 yrs old - 22 yrs old.  My Brother and family live in Richland and my parents live in Kennewick.  My husband and I are hoping to move to Kennewick if a Music teacher position opens up there. 

How do you like the Tri-Cities?
