Shrines have started to really take off here on Craftster and I think a lot of them are getting lost between the More Art/Less Craft board and the Miscellaneous Completed Projects board.

What do you think of a Shrine board...Not sure which heading it would go under, mabye the Trinkets or Home Sweet Home.

Do I have any supporters?

I'm a newbie and I am more infatuated right now with the concept of shrines than I was infatuated with Q from TNG when I was 13.  For those of you who are not me, that's *a LOT* Wink  A board focusing on them and featuring tutorials/material recommendations/showcasing of these fabulous little bits of visual psychodrama would be like "Generic Cold-Weather Seasonal Holidaytm" in September for me!!

Do a search for "shrine"...you have to sift thru a lot of jabber (of which I tend to be a large instigator of) but there is some really, really excellent stuff on here.

On a daily basis I'm stunned by the creativity I see and I'm always inspired by other's work.

(I never really watched TNG, but I saw enough to think Q was kinda hot in a total geek way)

i just got into altoid/pocket shrines after recieving a fabbity fab kit from sonjaboo, and i would love to get inspired by my fellow craftsters. i just seems like searching for shrines comes up with too much junk!  i would love a shrine board!

It just occured to me that I don't know what it takes to convince Leah we need one...

Does anyone know?

Should I start a petition or something?  Grin

It takes a lot of discussion (and I mean a LOT. You should see the amount of discussion there was on the polymer clay board before they got one) before a board is created. Really, there needs to be a lot of attention focused on it. Though I'm sure shrines are a big thing, it seems they would fit under another category (like the home board). It's too focused to require its own board, unfortunately. Most of the other boards cover a very broad category. It'd be a good idea to figure out how many different topics there are out there in craftster land that focus on shrines to give your cause a boost Cheesy

If a board isn't made, it would be a good idea to figure out where exactly they should go...  It's hard though. Shrines in a house, obviously, could go under the home board... Altoid size shrines.. trinkets? It's all so vague.
