Marie-Antoinette Headpiece

I was inspired to make a headpiece for Challenge 12 by Sofia Coppola’s movie Marie-Antoinette .



I chose pipe cleaners, pom-poms and plastic Easter grass. I also used a Styrofoam head, beads, feathers and some sequins

I attached sequins to the Styrofoam head with pins to make a pretty Marie-Antoinette face. I then started adding pipe cleaners around the hairline.

And I kept adding the pipe cleaners. More and more pipe cleaners. Soon I was hoping that a hot glue gun would appear in my life.



I then swept up the pipe cleaners and attached them with hot glue. I wasn't so happy about having a hot glue gun in my life after I burned three fingers. That glue sure is hot.

I stuck little pom-poms around the hairline, glued big pom-poms around the back of the head, then filled the spaces in between with even more pom-poms.



Beads were added to the pipe cleaners that were still sticking out. Each end of these pipe cleaners got two big beads and a colored feather before being accented with a pom-pom or two.



I'm not sure how I can get the headpiece off the Styrofoam head so I can wear it, but until I figure that out, it makes a good display as it stands.

How creative!!It looks like a colorful head of dreads!! I think it would be great to wear but it looks awesome on the sparkly face!
