Goodie goodie!!  I received my lasandri hat today!!  The colors are just beautiful , and it fits perfectly (covers my ears!!).

I know I looked stupid walking around my garden in 90 degree weather wearing my hat, but I had to road test it!!

Thanks lasandri!!

hooray! i'm so glad you like it! the whole thing is done in baby cables, but it's hard to see with the multicolor yarn  Undecided however, alwaysinmyroom, i wanted to tell you that if you wanted to make it suuuuper soft, you wash it regular in the wash and then dry it with a dryer sheet.... although, that would loosen up the structure of the knitting. just lettin ya know!!

ps you look adorable in it!

I received the most amazing notecards from myloveasdeep!

They are made out of confidential documents with little birdies on them.  I will post pics ASAP.

Thank you, myloveasdeep, you rock.

Lasandri--I have no idea what baby cables are, but all I can say is that the stitching is so even, perfect and interesting--it is hard to take a pic of so much fine detail!!  Believe me, I appreciate that you used a stitch that I don't know how to do and that took more time than the stockinette or garter stitch that I know how to do (badly)! ha ha  thanks again!

beautiful hat, lasandri! and I agree- looks great on you, alwaysinmyroom.  (yeah- we finally get an action shot!)

what kind of yarn is it, may I ask? I am such a sucker for variegated yarns.

I received a great package yesterday from loves2experiment.  She was sending me knit dishcloths but also included two wonderful pieces of fabric (yes, the yellow piece has frogs on it.)

Yay! Simplyfussfree received the capelet I crocheted. She's having camera problems so here's a picture of it:

P.S. Here's the pattern I used:
