**EDIT**

in honor of Crafters With Kitties.  quick and dirty PS.

What's more kitschy than a beaded curtain?  How about one made with Pom Poms!

I strung black yarn with pom poms of various sizes and spaced them out.  I was going to string them tightly together, but I liked the bubbly look this gave it. . .and my fingers hurt from stringing pom poms.

i laid the strings out on the floor and hot glued them to big fat popsicle sticks to make the curtain "rod."  then i tucked the whole shebang up into the workings of my stupid vertical blinds.  I think it's much improved, don't you?

i used some jersey loops laced together to make the curtain tie-back.  neato!

here are some more close-ups.

i broke two needles and burned myself with hot glue.  pretty normal crafting day for me, though.

i hope you like it!

yes i went through each pom pom. . .that's how i ended up breaking the needles. . .the smaller pom poms didn't want to cooperate and i got frustrated and wiggled the needle too much.

incidentally, the pom poms are suspended of their own free will. . .i didn't knot the yarn between each pom, though you could certainly do that.

Too cute!  And if you ever get tired of them as curtains, you've got some great cat toys! Wink

Genius!

I'm gonna have to make me something like this...I have been collecting "unique" beads of a certain color-scheme for the past 6 years or so, and still don't have enought to make the curtain I want...but this! Inexpensive and way beyond cute
