I notice that most people here sell actual CRAFTS at the fairs, so I didn't see any pictures showing good ways to display ART - I'm signed up to do my first art/craft market in June and was hoping to see ideas of how to display art at outdoor markets.

Any pics out there for that?

I guess that would depend on what your ART is.

(my point is do you mean paintings, scuplture, etc...)

We've run into problems with that since my boyfriend sells canvases.  Here's what we've done (sorry, no pics).  We have:
1) hung them up on walls in an indoor show where we were allowed to use nails
2) hung them up on a chain link fence/table with clothespins
3) put them in a collapsible magazine rack that had multiple slots (wish I had a pic to show you what I'm talking about...)
4) just laid them on a table or up against something when we have no other course of action.

Obviously #1 is best, the others are just ok.  I don't have any other advice.  Undecided

I do canvas boards and stretched canvas - almost all are 8x10 with a few 9x12s thrown in for variety.  All very brightly colored and simple.

Here's a sample of my type of artwork:

I was thinking either a pure white booth or a pure black booth would be the best way to show off the colors.

For hanging canvasses, try using louvered doors or window shutters if you can find them.  I hang my woodburned panels from them and they get a lot of attention.

This was my table at a local flea market earlier today.
*rant*- everything was going fine until some guy with mass-produced glycerin soaps ( the bad, cheap kind) set himself up next to me and sold his soaps four for $1. UGH. Other than that I really liked how it turned out, it was my first time selling by myself so I think I did good!

I displayed my soaps in melted bead bowls

colorful, eh?

Pictures taken at a craft fair last weekend. I made a profit - hurray! I  used three folding camping tables end to end covered with a white sheet(which I probably should have ironed); easels and covered notice boards to display stuff and a few display stands(necks) bought off e bay. It's s not perfect but I was pretty happy with it. The fair was in an old church and the light poured in from the big old arched windows and lit everything up. I sold lots of earrings as well as a few bigger pieces.
