My first drawing

I drew this one a couple of years ago and finally got it framed.  It was my first attempt at anything other than doodles or geometric designs.

Thank you!!!!  It was from a copy of a photo that a friend gave me actually.  It's Mel Gibson (in his younger years, I'm assuming).

Thanks everyone!  Is she an orange, it's number 2 pencil on cold press illustrator's board.  IqJones, I have done a couple of other ones since then, but I've geiven them away as presents and didn't think about taking pictures of them at the time.  Brilliant me.  I'm working on one of myself though, although I might mess around with color for that one since I've never really messed with color before and I know my coloring the best so it might be a good way to start.  But from now on, all of them will be photographed!!!!

Is it from Gallipoli? I might be confusing it with another war movie, Mel Gibson and this other guy were australian runners in the war and they both died. That was a horrible battle.

Hmmm....  I dont' know.  A friend of mine had given me a copy of the picture a few years ago but didn't tell me anything specific about it, so I just always assumed it was one of those random PR shots like from a magazine.  I've never seent hat movie, but it sounds good!  I shall have to put it on my (very long) To Watch list!
