Would it work with worsted weight and the same needles?

I would imagine that worsted weight on size 5 needles to be rather thick and give really tight stitches. Perhaps you'd want to go up a size or two, swatch and recalculate the cast-on stitches (keeping the number in multiples of 12).

I'm at about 4 inches (still using Patons Brilliant from my stash). Knitting in class makes it go a little faster =).

Well, it's not much, but here's what I have so far:

I'm cursing my non-stretchy yarn, but I like the color. I decided to go with 2x2 ribbing.

That's about how much I have...I had more, but frogged it because it was a moebius.

I have to make this top. It also has to be a stash buster project so I have to decide what yarn to use! I have some micro spun at home but don't really want to use it. I don't like the way that it splits.

Hummmm...... need to come up with an idea for some yarn to use.

I cast on 144 stitches in Knitpicks Shine Worsted last night.  This is a total guess at the math, it will probably be a miracle if it fits.  Why do I do this to myself?  Swatching would be so much easier than knitting the whole thing, but I just can't help it.
