I claim lafemmefatale for something from her Wist (birdie bag). This is my first claim. I am in Iowa, USA.

My List:
Granny squares. I dont know. I think theyre really cool looking, and I wish I could crochet. But maybe a bag or something?

A nice skirt. I am extremely proficient at making your typical A-line, but I never work up the courage/energy to embellish one nicely or even to branch out into a pencil skirt or something. I hate to give examples because I am extremely open, but

Something nautical. Maybe a fairly casual top or skirt or maybe some jewelry or I guess Im getting at something wearable.

A knit piano key scarf!!! Holy cow. I was extremely impressed by this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=51018.0

A funky pincushion. Maybe felt?

Any kind of cute accessory. I am kind of starting to get into those big, chunky, colorful bead necklaces, but maybe something with a little bit more originality? I also like rings and I do have pierced ears.

A cute knitted hat, maybe with animals or something.

T-shirt with a fairly simplistic but still enjoyable design. Dinosaurs are nice, so are robots, rocketships or astronauts or anything outerspace, any manner of baked goods or forest animals ... I dont know, surprise me. This one is pretty nice: http://www.delias.com/item.do?categoryID=463&itemID=45862&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter=  But like I said, whatever.

Ooh, or a yoked top.

Buttons. Nuff said.

Tree stuff. Gotta respect trees.

A collection of photos. Im really into weird collections of photos lately, like a series of photo booth photos, or of the inside of peoples refrigerators, or of names in sidewalks, whatever you fancy. Or maybe a kind of album for pictures to go in, but I prefer the kind that are just paper, where you have to physically adhere the picture to the page, and then it leaves you room for writing as well.

Something about unicorns.

A new glasses case.
Learn-to kits:
1.)   Silkscreening
2.)   Felting
3.)   Resin
4.)   Macram

About Me: I am almost 17, living in Council Bluffs, IA (its like Omahas ugly little sister). I am editor in chief of my schools newspaper, involved in Mime Club and technical theater, and am currently spending most of my summer working on a community art project for our public library through the Bemis Center. I am inspired by vintage styles, street style, and surprising combinations. I like black and/or white combined with primary colors, complimentary color combinations and pretty much any other good color combination as long as it doesnt involve neons. I also pretty much freaking love Old Navy and Forever 21. I like appliqus, animals and geometric patterns like polka dots, stripes, checks, etc. But not really those Vans-slip-ons-and-racing-flags kind of checks. Meh, I dont know. PM me or something.

I claim some funky earrings for highschoolcraftster!

I'm in California - this is my second claim this round

Here's the list! I moved stuff around - sorry it took me so long to get it up.

Supplies

1. fabrics of any sort see below for colors, for patterns I like floral, asian and geometric - I received some with other wishes, but...who can ever have enough fabric?
3. snaps for cuffs - the kind you hammer in ( not sew in - I have those) but I want to try the hammery ones.
5. Beads - never enough beads for me! - no fimo or plastic please

"Learn to" kits:

needle felting
soap making
felted soap making - seeing a trend? ^_^
learn to bind books kit thanks!

Wearable Stuff:

1. Headband and/or scarf in a fabric from list of favorite types.
2. These earrings or something similiar: game controller
3. Stenciled or silk screened shirt with a gun (walther ppk-original james bond gun) and/or flowers (the S.O. knows how to stencil & silk screen but damn if it's a little too much to get my head around) Women's Medium Please - but must be stretchy as I'm kinda curvy
4. a totoro hat!!

Big and or harder wearable stuff:

1. You would be my best-est friend in the whole world if you made me this dress but instead of an owl, I want a Walther PPK! My attempt did not work out so well.
2. Cast resin bracelet or necklace with a georgia o'keefe image (flowers not bones) I don't have space/ventilation to cast resin. (inspiration: Abstract and nature and the desert)
2a. A microscope slide necklace with same art or cherry blossoms - similiar to this one that tigergirl made for knottydottie - Here - I lost all my soldering stuff when I moved to LA
3. A circle skirt! Blue with Big Flowers - kiwi monkey style!

Other Crafty Stuff:

1. Katamari Ball - pin cushion or crocheted magnetic thing. Naaaah na na na na na Kata Mari DAHH MACCYY
2. A kneedle roll - now that I have more than 1 set of needles, I need something to keep them in!

Non-crafty stuff

1. A surprise see below or my wists for what I like.
2. Hello kitty anything
3. San-X - Mr. Cold stuff would AWESOME
4. anything from meomi.com

About me I'm 6 feet tall, almost 33 y.o. and I live in Hollywood. I love dogs, anything ultramarine blue or cobalt, computers, technology, the internet, sci-fi, anime, anything Japanese especially hello kitty and san-x. I don't drive, but I take the train to work subways ROCK! I'm pretty girly, but not lacey and froofy, think candy and pink. I love pink too. However, as an aged ex-goth/new wave chic, I'm still addicted to black and all my techno style jewelry (think computer bits and lots of shiny stuff etc). My favorite designer style is Oakley, as in the sunglasses AND Deisel. Dragonflies are my favorite bug, but I'm not a nature girl I love the city pictures of tiny cute animals (like meomi.com) are awesome.  Dress wise, I do conservative but hip for work (I work at an internet company so I can't dress too stuffy) with mostly black, some grey, green, blue, orange, and pink. I'm a t-shirt and jeans girl at home.

I hate aquamarine, yellow, and turquoise.

Oh and NO Disney related stuff!

Thanks in advance to anyone who picks me!

I'll claim animegirlie for some fabric. This is my second claim.

I'm from NY. My wishlist:

1- Amy Butler type of fabric- actually any type of fabric you have- preferably about a yard long.

2- A bag like this:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=31017.0

3- Felt bead necklace like the purple one in the link below.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21330.0

4- A painting inspired by Monet to dress up my bedroom.

5- A diy kit for sewing a specific project that you are good at. I'm a beginner sewer and I work well with patterns but I would love to learn some new projects. For example: If you're good at making Jordy bags or a certain type of skirt than you could send me a picture filled tutorial and some materials to aid me. I can make a lot of basic things so I would love learning something with more difficulty. If you need me to be clearer you can PM me.

6- A wallet made of some big bold flower fabric [not paisley flower like] Pretty please!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=87323.0
The fabric and style is perfect.

7-- DIY stencil kit or Kanzashi flower kit. I'm loving the kits that you guys put together- every one I've gotten has been incredibly amazing!

8- A knitted headband like this one:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=74104.0
I love the colors used in it too.

9- I love everything about this orange clutch:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77766.0

10- Any Amy Butler patterns that you have [with all pattern pieces and directions, please]

11- Anything on my wists      Grin

12- I'm sort of in a long distance relationship and I would love a kit that would help cheer me up for the times that my boyfriend isn't here.

13- A kit that would help motivate me to work out and eat better. The whole winter I've been living on a diet of cheese doodles and brownies. Hehe.
Thank you so much lafemmefatale!

14- Any Japanese craft books or magazines.

15- A handmade big calendar. I've been staring at the December page for too long. I've been meaning to buy one but I can't find one I like.  Something bright and preppy.

16- Earrings. I love dangly romantic ones.

17- Paper for scrapbooking or bookmaking.

About me: I'm 22 and I'm going for my masters in early education. I work at a daycare center in a classroom filled with four year olds. I love to knit [beginner], crochet, cook, and sew. I want to broaden my crafting horizons though so I want to learn some new things. I love dark gem-like colors, especially blues, plums, and reds.  I'm a simple girly-girl. I think this picture best sums up my style: http://static.flickr.com/31/63660763_ae87a69fec.jpg?v=0

I claim dontlookback for a Kanzashi flower kit.

My listola!!!  (I'm in Winnipeg Canada)

I know this isn't crafted but if you live in Ireland or Scotland and could send me a little Quaich  (http://www.talariaenterprises.com/images3/5627a.jpg)  I would be your best friend forever.  (I was there a few years ago and have been kicking myself ever since for not buying one - I saw them in Scotland)

A bag kind of like this http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=243057 or anything like the stuff on her site.  Something sturdy.

FELTED BOWL!!   (Please Support My addiction)( see my wists if you aren't sure what I mean, there are plenty there) http://www.wists.com/Kristen81    any color is fine

Crochet or knit bowl  (again, please support my addiction)  any color is fine

Pyjamma Pants (Flannel please, any color, print is fine)  PM for sizes etc.

Golden Hands craft magazines (PM me for the ones I have, NOT the dressmaking ones)

Golden Hands Craft Books (these were hardcover books from the 70's)

Wrap skirt - PM for measurements.  Maybe black one side and a print on the other.

An embelished sweatshirt for my Mom.  (no hood).  Something pretty.  On a white sweatshirt preferably.  Maybe flowers, her inital (M), birds etc.

Wallet  (oohh, this is lovely...just an idea/inspiration)  http://www.etsy.com/view_item_sold_anon.php?listing_id=135183&transaction_id=36296  OR fabric like this (or kind of like this)...then I could make my own....

craftsterquilt.blog spot.com  (Finished (edges unhemmed) to sew into a quilt)

White/light creme cabled knit scarf.  Acrylic is fine with me as long as it's 'nice'      acrylic.  The chunkier the 'wool' the better. (A narrow scarf would be cool for spring)

A long tunic style shirt decorated however you like (PM for ideas if needed) (XL-1X)

Learn to crochet Amigurumi kit, I'm a beginner all I can do is single and double crochet and have no idea how to do anything else.

« Reply #76 on: June 07, 2006 07:55:17 AM »

I claim Kristen81 for a quilt block.  This is my second claim.

I'm in the USA (California), and here are my wishes:

crafted things:
- knitted socks - I would love some handknit socks!  I wear a size 9 shoe (big feet, I know!)
- crochet hook/knitting needle roll - which will ideally have space for both
- crochet/knitting stitch markers
- microscope slide pendant necklace (preferably half size, closer to a square shape)
- stuff for the kitchen/dining - oven mitts, cloth napkins, apron

craft kit things:
- beginner resin kit

craft supply things:
- Amy Butler/ish cute fabric
- artists tracing paper
- transfer pens
- cardstock, cream or black
- yummy yarn

about me:
I'm 31, recently-ish married, no kids, living in a small small apartment!  I love the ocean and all the things associated with it, and especially turtles!  My favorite color is yellow, with lime green and orange tied for second.  I love bright colors together - blue & green, orange & yellow, pink & orange, etc.  Our home is decorated in a "tropical island travel" theme - sky blue, lime green and sunshine yellow.  I crochet, and am learning to knit, sew, embroider, make books, and every other craft I can think of!  I am passionate about recycling - so any reused materials get extra extra bonus points!  I do not like things that smell (allergies), leather things (vegetarian), knick-knacky things (no space) or the colors purple, brown, forest green, olive green or navy blue.

thanks for considering me!

(this list seems kind of small, I'll try and add to it if I stall the swap)

I claim corrections wife for cross stitch patterns or books.

 list in a jiff...

this is my second (and final! *sniff*) wish:

Please note:  the links provided are only for inspiration!

Kits:

Please note:  this summer i will be in a very isolated area, and although it will be fun, i will have more than enough time on my hands.  i would looooove very much to learn a new skill!

--Learn to quilt kit.  I don't know a darn thing about it, except that its a family craft i failed to learn before i moved away.  i would love to learn! please oh please!

--learn to needle felt kit.  I adore  the felted things i've seen, but can't even imagine where to begin!

--polymer clay kit and/or tools.  i don't have anything but a few things of clay and a yard sale toaster oven, but i've always been fascinated by this art!

     --bookbinding kit

     --Lip balm or lotion kit

     --art doll kit!  yay!

--soap making  or candle making kit

     --resin kit

--microscope slide kit (i will of course "liberate" the sodering tool from hubby)

--I am pretty open to learning all sorts of new things, so any type of new craft kit would be neat.  The ones I mentioned above are things that I have been wanting to learn for a while.  Im really open to new ideas, so if you have a craft and really want to share it with me, by all means!  Hobbies and can-dos are listed below.

Other Stuff:

--cherry earrings/necklace/bracelet made from your craft of choice.  Nothing too flashy or huge please.

--Something ladybug-related for a little girls room I would love a ladybug mobile to hang over the crib.  Poor girl doesnt have a mobile yet!   thanks Sonjaboo!

-- A knitting needle roll like this one: http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=227518&pic_id=3 i loooooove it! i especially LOOOOVE the zillions of pockets that it has.  oooo i will be your best friend for this one!  if you could include a matching crochet hook case, you'll be my extra best friend!

-- Fun, beaded row counters for knitting

-- A tote of your own fabulous design, enough for a medium sized knitting project and/or bunches of diapers and baby things.  lol.  i love pockets and can't have too many, but they are of course optional!  here is a great one that i've always loved:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=88909.80

-- the worlds most awesome sewing bag:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=73010.0, tutorial: http://littlemissmeshell.blogspot.com/2006/02/sewing-goodies-bag-tutorial-fixed.html.  I love this bag so much I cant even stand it!

--A really amazing art doll either cat, lady-bug, or fairy-related.   I ADORE art dolls!

--anything to store stuff for any of my hobbies: crochet, knitting, sewing, stamping, embroidery etc.  could be a anything from tote to box of some sort.  Just surprise me!

--I would really like to have a bag like this (in muted colors and/or nifty fabric): http://www.knitpicks.com/tools/itemid_80268/tools_display.aspx .  I like that it has a snap that you can attach to your belt and a loop that is snapped on to the inside that acts as a yarn guide.  The color choices are too  bright for me,  but the size is great:  6 inch diameter bottom by 8 inches tall).

--if you have something in mind that you might like to make from the list of likes below (or wants from above), i will welcome a surprise!

about me

I am currently a SAHM to two really great and amazing kids, one of whom was the New Years Baby 2006 (yay!).  She's 5 months old, he is almost 3  yrs old.  I looooove to knit and am beginning to learn crochet, and have an interest in pretty much all sorts of other needle arts, indluding machine sewing and hand embroidery.  I also stamp and dabble in circle journals and altered books.  I love pretty much all colors, but dont like orange-yellow-brown combos.  I'm pretty much open to all kinds of patterns, but prefer something fun, maybe retro, over romantic and flowery.  I'm so in to the show LOST.  I LOVE cats (especially retro ones like my avatar)  and birds (and yes, i am painfully aware that the two dont' mix!), and any thing at all related to cherries or strawberries, or just about any other fruit or veggie.  I love coffee and tee.  They are vital to my survival!

fabric types i like:  brocades, cordoroy, funky denim.  batiks are good, as well as any 'indian' type print.
