i am a modern day hippie boho-y type girl who loves to laugh. i love anything earthy and naturific! i have had a yearning to simplify things so anything simple is nice.  i am feeling quite feminine today but i am a tough cookie most of the time.  i like being a dork and i have a good sarcastic sense of humor.

Thanks, taloola!

This is my first wish.

Im a PhD candidate studying in Cambridge, MA (right across the river from Boston).  I grew up in western NY state.  As for my hobbies, I knit, watch way too much TV (ER, Judging Amy reruns, Law and Order, Law and Order: SVU, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs), read (historical mysteries; I am currently working my way through Stephanie Barrons Jane Austen mystery series), and watch lots of movies (both new and old, I love 1930s romantic comedies, and I really liked some recent releases like Good Night and Good Luck, Pride and Prejudice, and Munich).  I am currently learning how to crochet, and I wish I had a dog (I grew up with a bossy Pomeranian).  I dont have that much extra time to listen to music, but I have loved Green Day and Oasis for years, though I am beginning to like The Killers too.

My wishlist: (Links are just suggestions, just PM me if you have questions)

-Silverware bracelets (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=55703.0)

-Purses made from neckties (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45985.0, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=8148.0)

-Record purses (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=37123.0)

-Sewn clutch (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=47648.0, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24610.0, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=77766.0)

-A sewn newsboy type hat (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=27772.0)

-A circle skirt or some other type of cool skirt.  If you have an idea, just pm me.

-A needle felting kit

-A wallet.  I've had the same one for eight years, and it's falling apart.  I have a lot of junk, so more pockets is better.  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=16097.0   http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=40505.0

-A swap journal

-some Kanzashi flower pins and hair clips, or a kit to teach me how to make them

-Oh, or anything from my wist.

Poor Quincy, you've been waiting a while! I claim you for the dachshund puppy dog from your wists--I've made him before and I have some nice brown velvet I can use.

This is my second wish granted. I am in NY, USA. I'm going to agree with what others have said and tell ya'll that I prefer recycled/repurposed stuff than you buying the materials all new, if possible.

My list:

Anything from the wists, of course. The link to mine is in my signature. I have lots of stuff in there, all of which would make me squeal with joy to own!
Knitting:

1. A Kitty Pi! http://wendyknits.net/knit/kittybed.htm With no funfur, please...for my big orange long-haired kitty, Bowie. I just adopted him from a shelter and he needs to be spoiled! I'd make it myself, but I don't have enough bulky wool yarn. He'd look good in a green one..

2. Asian-inspired stitch markers like these: http://www.acloset.com/zen/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=38_21_26

3. Wooden knitting needles in any size. I would especially love it if you had little sculpey sheep on the ends!

4. A knitting design journal with the knitting pinup girl on the cover! The picture is in my wists.

5. Any yarn in red or green
(wool is nice, but I'll take anything!)

6. A copy of Interweave Knitscene magazine

7. A used knit stitch dictionary

Sewing:

1. A wrap dress like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=40756.0

2. A Lolita dress like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=88256.0

Beauty:

1. Homemade  soap in lavender, patchouli, Nag Champa or sandalwood! Plllleeeasse?
2. Homemade perfume in above scents.

3. Candles in above scents.

Jewelry:

Any jewelry of sheep, goldfish, eggplants, strawberries, birds, the Buddha, Ganesha or cherries.

Stenciling/Screen Printing/Iron-on:
1. Ladies' medium t-shirts with "Future Shepherdess", or "Got Sheep?", or "Eggplant is my Game" on them.

2. Two men's canvas BBQ aprons. A white one that says "Kill The Cook" and has a cartoon pig's head on it (anyone???) and a black one with red letters that says "Meat Artist". These are for my boyfriend and his brother, respectively, and although I might get around to making them someday, I've never stenciled before and I thought one of you might feel like it. You sick people you.

3. A man's small black t-shirt with this image on it:
http://hometown.aol.com/undeadterror/images/death_records_logo.jpg

Random Stuff:

1. A Ganesha shrine or art. Actually, anything you can think of that involves Ganesha in any way. I have always loved him and then I heard he was the god of libraries too!

2. Freezer paper and fabric paint for making freezer paper stencils!

3. Has anyone heard of the movie Phantom of the Paradise? http://www.briandepalma.net/phantom/phantom.htm
If anyone wanted to make me some kind of item relating to this movie, that would be AWESOME. Especially with Winslow on it. Or lyrics from the song Faust.

4. A polymer clay starter kit!

5. A painting of this picture of my kitty: http://www.geocities.com/thelibrarian18/16139bowie.jpeg

6. Something I can display in my kitchen that says, "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in food!"

7. I'm a student English teacher, so items pertaining to English would be cool, especially really nerdy English joke items that I could take with me to school..

10. A bunch of ribbon scraps at least 2 feet long, to use for book bindings. Thanks kittykill!

11. A record clock.

12. THIS CLOCK!!! http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=151875 Pleasepleasepleasep leaseplease........ .....

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

Ok, I'm jumping in.  I claim myloveasdeep for some lavender from her wist.  And a surprise. This is my first wish, so I guess now I'll just post my list in a moment.

Ok, mega-death-craft-list:

Crafty Wishlist

Knitting:
1.   A needlebook to hold my knitting miscellany.  Like these: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=95762.0.  But in like purple and zebra print. And I definitely would like a spot to put scissors.

2.   Knitting bag to hold my multiple works in progress.  Preferably with a few slots to hold knitting needles, and a zippered pocket on the inside (and maybe even a pocket on the outside).

3.   I would LOVE some new knitting needles that have fun little polymer clay shapes on the top.  Specifically I need some US 8 needles (I actually managed to break a cheap plastic one, and then had to tape it together to finish my project. Please! I need new ones!). I also wouldnt mind some smaller sized needles as well (smaller than US 6).

4.   I really, really, really, want some handspun or hand dyed yarn.  I dont even care what color it is, so long as it is nice and chunky and soft. I absolutely LOVE the way the last one on the bottom turned out: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=98343.0.

5.   If someone would knit me a panta, that would be fabulous.  I know I could do this myself, Ive just never had the time.  If you could, I would love a black and gray striped one.  If thats impossible, plain black is fine.thank you cotneyroo!

6.   This: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=64408.0. I love this, but there is no way I could knit this with my skill level.  In a deep, rich purple would be PERFECT.

Crochet:
7.   Ive just started (attempting) to learn how to crochet.  Something pretty to put my crochet hooks in might motivate me a bit more to keep practicing.

8.   I want, I want, I want the short and sweet shrug from the Happy Hooker. Oh please, please, please! In purple, black, or red.  Man, do I want this so much!

Clothes, Jewelry, Accessories:
9.   A t-shirt with a samurai helmet design on the front.  Im rather tiny, so I would certainly need a very small t-shirt.  Generally youth mediums fit me pretty well.

10.   Microscope pendant slide! Boy, I would do this on my own if I could, but alas, no soldering iron.  I would love you FOREVER if you made me one of these. With either this picture: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/22434snake.gif or this: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/22434medusa.gif. But not both on the same pendant.  Or hey, you could do two pendants! Now theres an idea! Reversible too, please.

11.   A fun cluster ring like this one: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=18724.0 or http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=91992.0  though preferably not with a woven band.

12.    Something to similar to the beautiful rings iolite88 makes. I love the antique style of this one: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=84852.0

13.   A cool looking silver ring for my bf. Anything kind of hip, and chunky, and manly. Maybe something that looks like this, or something similar: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=4473.0

14.   A corset clip like this one: http://www.decarabia.co.uk/burlesqbro.htm and if not that, a sweater clip would be great too.

15.   Hair pins, hair pins, hair pins!  I love little tiny cute bobby pins with beads and buttons and all sorts of cute accoutrements attached.

16.   In a similar vein, I would also love some mini kanzashi flower bobby pins (none of those silver clips though, please.), in an oriental fabric scheme.

Miscellaneous:
17.   A big exfoliating bar of home made soap.  Preferably not glycerin. I love vanilla and/or lavender.

18.   On the same subject, felted soap! Any design, any color.  The soap inside the felt does not need to be homemade.

19.   Speaking of felting I would LOVE a felting kit.

20.   Annnnd, a resin kit would be absolutely AWESOME.

21.   Or, you could make me a resin belt buckle like this one: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=93700.0  I love, love, loooooveee the sparkly one at the bottom.  I would shower you with affection for the rest of eternity if you made me a purple, sparkly belt buckle with this picture. http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/22434medusa.gif Please, please, pleeeeaaasseeee..

22.    A mini day of the dead shrine to hang from my car mirror.  Not many guidelines here, just that its very colorful, and not too big.

23.   If the inclination strikes you, and you feel like you really, really love me, you could make me a very simple quilt.  Like this one: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=6346&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=336&iSubCat=289&iProductID=6346  it doesnt have to be in a satin fabric though, and I would like it with black on one side, and then gray on the other. (Or purple and gray, or red and gray).

About me:  I'm 17 and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico (which yes, IS in the US, and NO I do not speak good english for a foreigner... geez.). I like things that are FUNCTIONAL; knick knacks are just not for me.  I spend almost all of my time reading.... and on craftster.   I'm not very girly, so polka dots, flowers, pink... things like that are not my style.  My favorite colors are purple, red, black gray... if you couldn't tell from the post.  I know this was a rather cursory description, so if you have any questions, just feel free to PM me.
Cheers to anyone who chooses me.
