I'm interested in doing a swap for 12" quilt blocks and I want to see if there's any interest from others.

If there was enough interest, I would start signups the middle of August and then have the mailing date close to the end of September.

Here's what I'm thinking:

When you joined you would have to give 3 color preferences or you could say 'any color' if you don't care what colors you receive.

You would be asked to make 3 squares for your partner, following their color preferences.

The choice of design would be up to you (there's lots of free patterns on the net if you don't have pattern books.)

So, anyone interested?  Any comments on my ideas?

I'm not sure what to do about it - in 2 weeks there has only been 3 people comment and there's also a similar swap happening right now.  I'll just see what happens over the next month or so and then decide if there is enough interest to go ahead.

I think there is also concern about quality - some people are new quilters and some are more experienced and so I'm not sure how I would handle that.

i think it would be cool to do a 12 inch block swap, like kind of ongoing, where you send out 1 a month and slowly everyone gets enough quilt squares to do something with.

I'm interested in another quilt block swap!  I just don't know if I would be able to join one during that time, my wedding is mid-september so I am sure I will busy busy up to that point!

I decided not to go ahead with this swap.  There just didn't seem to be enough interest.
