You should make a white mage and black mage one together... or fighter with swordchucks! (slight disclaimer, i may or may not be a geek who thought every single one of your things was the most awesome thing EVER). You win. You WIN. You win life.

Don't you hate it when people fill up their signature with random junk you could care less about reading but when you see how long it is you figure it has to be important so you keep reading but it's not worth your time and you just wasted a whole minute reading absolutely nothing at all? I do.

I think perler beads and video games really go hand in hand.  its amazing that a beading craft could be soo geeky.

Awesome idea!  I definitely ran out and bought beads last night just so I could do this and now I have awesome magnets Smiley

Unfortunately they only sell the boards in kits, so I only have one big (29x29) board, I might have to order more online.  They also didn't have too much for color selection and everything was in mixed containers Sad  I'll have to check out some of the other places in town this week.

Does anyone use Hama beads and Perler beads together?  I bought both but wasn't sure if I could use them in projects together - if they would melt at the same rate.

Thanks again for the amazing idea!  Next step, coasters  Grin

Keen : Katamari gets me all kinds of excited.  What did you make?  I have a couple of things I have been wanting to make (like a gigantic King of the Cosmos), but they would take soo many beads...oh, and LOTS OF TIME.  This has to be one of the most time consuming crafts.

Oh and I find that, like in most crafts, "we" almost always means "me/myself/I/you/yourself".  Oi.

Photojenn: If you look on Ebay, there is one person who sells mixed bags of colors, you can either have one color, a random bag, or a choose your own color bag.  Its soo much cheaper that way too.  (Black, becomes rare when you buy a container, an annoyance I found early on.)  I am also pretty sure if you use Hamas and Perlers at the same time they should be fine, but I would be weary of whether or not the colors looks exactly the same, you know?

*SQUEALS*  OMG!!!  My boyfriend and younger brother would go nuts over them!  I'm already going nuts over them!!  (we're all hopelessly addicted gamers as well...sooo *shifty eyes*)  I'd ask questions but they're probably all answered ^_^  *goes off to read the rest*  Kudos btw! ^^  Unfortunately you've given me inspiration to go on a perler rampage (I never got to work with them ever...so I'd been curious)

I loved this craft as soon as I saw it and I immediately thought of people to make these for!

This is Mega Man, made for my bf's best bud:

This is Skull Man, my bf's "arch-nemesis" as he says:

The guy I made Mega Man for was so excited he has already commissioned more characters.  Cheesy
I am planning another for my sister as soon as I get some more black perlers!
