Re: coasters- I haven't tried them out as coasters yet, but I would think that since they still have little holes in the center of each bead, it wouldn't be ideal.   Maybe if you back it with some thin cork?

Anyone have any success with using their perler creations as coasters as-is?

Vpop, I love all the things you made!   Smiley  The Hamtaro and the Mario are my faves.

About coasters, I haven't tested that out. I suppose if you iron them very flat it would work okay.

I know this is way late, but try ebay for individual colors.

yeah, they have some awesome deals on ebay.

there is actually someone who mixes and matches colors for a completely customized bag of the beads.  Rockin!

That exhibits some serious talent! Putting those beads to crafty use is quite a challenge, but you rose to the occasion.

Yup.  You put the beads on a pegboard.  Then you put a piece of ironing paper on top and you melt them together with the iron.

Grin  You dont sound stupid, dont worry.

These also make great magnets. I made a bunch for my locker at school and some for my friends also.

I've been doing these for awhile.  I have made tons.

pictures here, they are large, and yeah my desk is messy:

Many of these are ones i made and then sold, or made specifically for other people (all the megaman stuff was commissioned, the FF characters were made with intent to sell, etc).
