Thank you so much for everything sewmuch4kids! I loved everything  Smiley I'm sorry if the book was hard to craft for, you did an amazing job, especially for thinking that!

No no, I love a good challenge.  Smiley

Yippee! I received from ultraviolet today! My book was Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson. Smiley She sent two beautifully embroidered pillowcases, purple pie magnets, and watercolors+paper for me to paint my own adventures. Smiley

Sorry the pictures don't do the embroidery justice--it really is quite amazing. Smiley

I'm loving the idea of sending water colors.  Very cool.  And the pillow cases are awesome - I'd be afraid to sleep on them for fear of messing them up (my hair is pink - thus, my white pillow cases are also pink now)!

Those pillowcases look really well done. I can't see the individual stitches or anything. Very impressive.

Glad you liked your package, fadeawaydream! I always think of embroidery as something very quick, until I start to do it. ("Oh, right - I have to stitch every single window in those buildings...")

I love the embroidery!

re the little lamb: I just got a Japanese pattern book and it has some similar patterns- did the pattern come from a Japanese book?

On another note- I received from Laural yesterday! I love everything! She put such hard work into all of this. I really appreciate it  Smiley

My book was The Tyger Voyage.

First here is a group shot of everythng but the pillow she sent. My son immediately claimed the pillow as his own and would not go to bed without it, so I had to let him have it right after I took the photo:

This is the lining of the tote bag:

The tiger pillow. This is one of my favorite illustrations from the book- the tigers are reading the tarot with some gypsies that they meet up with on their journey:

Laural replicated the placemat that the tigers laid the tarot cards on! She also sent a mini set of tarot cards and a tiger buttion all tucked into this beautiful crocheted bag!

detail of the star stitching on the place mat:

Laural also sent this cat ear tiger striped hat along with some yarn that I will use to make a matching scarf and some tiger striped ribbon. I love it! I've made a kittyville hat for a friend before, but don't have one for myself!

Thanks so much, Laural! I love it all  Grin

No.  It came from the Pattern Bee Website.  It's a freebie. If you google lambkin pattern it will come up.

I love your Tyger Voyage package.  The matt and tarot cards look like they came right out of the book.  I agree about the illustration.  It's really beautiful!
