I received a fabulous package from fadeawaydream today!



The book was Hats for Sale. I got a lunchbox, a decoupaged box, a picture that will soon be hung in my craft room, and an awesome mixed paper journal with an embroidered cover. I wanted to post additional pictures of the back of the lunchbox (cute monkeys!) and inside of the journal (many lovely nature pictures) but my camera decided to only give me one good picture.

I was given a slip that says I can pick my package up tomorrow. Unfortunately I'll be in Rhode Island and won't be able to get my package until the weekend! The wait is going to kill me.

I'm so glad you like it all, ultraviolet! I have more pics of the book because I loved it so much and wanted to keep it for myself (so I chose to take lots and lots of pics in hopes of preserving its memory, lol).

Thanks for posting the additional pics! The book is SO impressive - I embroider (as you will see when you receive the package from me:) ) and I cannot imagine trying to embroider on the thick material you used for the cover. It must have been very aggravating! But it is also much appreciated, I really love it

Haha, the fact that I don't embroider must have been very apparent when you saw the material then! I had no idea that I was using the wrong kind of material and therefore assumed that all embroidery would be just as difficult! My fingers were rather sore afterward but it was well worth it. (:  I'm excited for my package to arrive!

That book is amazing.  If I were to receie something like that I think I'd be afraid to use it!

Actually, I thought you must be a far better embroiderer than I, because I would not attempt to embroider on such daunting fabric And if I did, I'm sure it wouldn't look as nice. It really came out well!

But you'll be greatly relieved when you embroider on thinner fabric. It's probably best that you began with the hard stuff, because now it will all seem so easy in comparison!

I received from Peachsorbet today and the stuff is amazing!  I already took pictures of all of it but I can't resize them because y\our computer is being dumb.  Unfortunately I'll have to wait until my husband gets home to get the pics up here.  She sent me handpainted spice jars (4), Sculpey magnets (3), and Marble magnets (14).  Everything is so well done!  and stuff that I wouldn't have ever made myself.  I love it all and want to show it off!  Thank you Peachsorbet!!
