I have admired the Sophie bag ever since I discoverd it. I just love the twisted handle. So when I found myself with nothing to do sunday night, having just come home form a LYS with nothing in hand (although my mom and friend both got a little sump'in to start new projects) I looked to my stash for inspiration. I had half a skein of Cascade 220 in orange and a skein of hand dyed blue merino worsted wieght yarn I had won a while ago. So when looking through a bunch of patterns I had bookmarked, I decided that I should make the Sophie bag!!

I knit this up in a day (literally finished 25 hours after I cast on) and had alot of fun. The only change I made was to dec. every 5 rounds instead of 10 after 2-3 dec. rounds becuse I was scared I would run out of yarn (I didn't). Oh, and I added some orange waves for fun.

Lurve the bag darling!!!!  The colors are great! And the pattern changes give it a distinctive look.

I've got to agree with the rest - that's one of the nicest Sophie bags I've seen.  Beautiful colour contrast.
