Under the Hoodie Neckline Question

I'm stuck at the neckline part for the "Under the Hoodie" pattern, specifically the Left front, where it tells you to pick up 24 (25, 24, 25) more sts by knitting into the purl bumps of sts already worked along the right front neckline. I know I'm suppose to pick up sts from the inside of the garment, but where exactly.

The last part I finished was rejoining the yarn and knitting across 31 sts on the holder.
My next step is to pick up those 24 sts (I'm doing size small).

oh, it's so hard to explain in words how to do it.  maybe someone with a good digital camera will contribute some pictures.  it would be easy to point out, i think.  you already know how to pick up stitches, it's just a matter of where!

 it was a piece of cake to do once it finally dawned on me what the writer of the pattern was talking about.  sorry, i know that wasn't much help.

If I remember right (I'm not looking at my hoodie right now, but I think I can explain it...), look at the inside of the hoodie and pickup stitches that are in the same straight line from where you're working now... It's kind of weird when you're first doing this because the left and right fronts end up overlapping to make a V that goes into the hood. So you're kind of picking up sts for the left that have already been done on the right, if that makes sense. There is going to be a row where the same sts suddenly spawn off into two directions on the next row. Or put another way, since you already did the pocket, picture picking up 24 sts from the back to form that second layer, its just that you're not going to reconnect the two layers back together... instead, they're going to split and form the hood.

I hope that makes some sense. i agree that a picture would be helpful... but my digital camera is at home (as is my hoodie, while I'm at work) and I don't know how to upload yet, otherwise I'd oblige... I hope this helps some!

Thanks for asking this question.  You beat me to the punch.  I'm totally stuck in the exact same place.  Let me know if you figure this one out (I may have a clue now reading the posts).  But, if on the off chance anyone can oblige with a picture or two, it may save me from frogging....yet again.

OHHH. I get it now! This is where i was stuck too!! And i was making a small! Wow im glad i found this board because i was just about to post on too!
