Although I did not find the rest of my vinyl, I finally found my original piece that was ready to go. So, barring any other bad karma complications, the iPod project is officially underway!  Smiley

Aaah! I've had to rip out my pod creature three times! The first thing was way too big. Also, I didn't understand why the back of the thing (the "Front" in the pattern) is crocheted as a flap. Now I'm just crocheting it together as I go, with a slip stitch into the side every row. I will post a picture if it's ever finished...

I'm out of town right now, so I'm not working on it, but when I get home and start working on it again, I'll post a picture.

I think one of the reasons you do it as a flap is so when you attach the other embellishments and stuff, it's easier to reach the inside.  Then you can slip stitch it or sew it when it's done. *shrug*

yay!  I am finally having success with this pattern, but i am on my 3rd try to make it smaller! (i have a video ipod.) i will post pics when i am satisfied with my results.

Maybe I need to use a bigger hook or a looser tension because the first time I tried it came out way too tiny for my Video Ipod.  *sigh*
