I need an idea for my dad for June 18th.

I don't have that much money, but have about 10 to spend on him.

Me and my Dad aren't really close, and don't really talk much. He likes:

- Chocolate
- Really big jigsaw puzzles with loads of pieces
- Gardening
- Cooking
- Barbequing
- Watching Movies
- Chardoney (sp), but I'm not old enough to buy alcohol

I'm not really sure what else.

Does anyone have any ideas, please?

I might suggest an in-expensive project I posted on my blog.  It's a magnetic cd case phone number holder.  I've included images that you can copy off my site with full instructions.  You get the cd cases free....the only cost is for the magnetic tape ($2-$3).  He can keep his phone numbers handy by attaching it to the fridge!

maybe some homemade bbq sauce?  I have a good recipe if you need one.  If you could bottle it yourself, you could perhaps print an old picture of you and him together on transparent adhesive paper and use that as the "label".

Cookies, bread, cake, pie.  Most guys like baked goods.
My Pop's birthday is on the second of June.  I'll be making him a cake when he comes to visit me and have an extra for him to take home.  I know he will be pretty happy about that!
I don't know how close you live from him, but a free gift is to clean a room of his.
Inexpensive: sew up pot holders or an apron.
Good luck!

Thanks guys!

In the end, I bought some useful things and combined it with something extra yummy.

I bought:
- A whisk
- 2 cute mugs
- Pack of 8 spoons
- Small bar of fruit and nut chocolate
- Big bar of whole nut chocolate
- Big bar of milk chocolate

I snapped up the fruit and nut, and put it in the whisk, then put cling film over it to hold it in, and tied it with an elastic band. Then I put the whisk in one of the mugs and put whole nut chocolate around the whisk to hold it still. Then in the other mug I broke up the other chocolate bar, put it in that mug, then put the spoons around which made a nice decoration.

I would have took pics but I forgot before I wrapped it up. Just hopes he likes it *Crosses fingers* Smiley
