Hey!! I recieved a lovely Ancient Egyptian package yesterday from Nuhbe and I love it all!!! Here's the goodies:

A beautifully detailed "Pyramid of Secrets". It's fantastic, I love the paintings done on each side of it.

Here it is open:

A beautiful polymer clay scarab beetle bead (the camera doesn't show the color too well, but it's a really nice dark blue):

And some really neat beads (these will come in handy because I do beadwork) in beautiful metallic colors (bronze, gold, white, blue, green, etc.) They spilled in the mail, but Canada Post put plastic around the package to keep the beads in:

I also got bronze metallic fabric paint, as well as gold eyeshadow and black eyeliner so I can make myself up like an Egyptian...and everything was very beautifully packaged. I'm very happy with what I recieved. Thank you so much, Nuhbe!!!

Nymeria has received from me, and I think she's posting this weekend. Here's a preview, though, since I know she's opened it.

The lot of it. It's Egyptian.

The rest of my photos are on my Flickr.

Xamonster!! I find your creations very inspired, congratulations!!! All is super cool  Wink

Glad you like them!

And speaking of like them ... I received from Nymeria yesterday! What a great way to end a wacky week.

The lot: totebag, cuff bracelet, necklace, box.
Pardon the worn expression on my face — Friday was exhausting.

Detail on the box:  "A sudden radiance from on high fell ... a divine form stood above them, beautiful and majestic beyond compare. 'I am Pallas Athena' the vision said ..."

Nymeria, you're awesome! I love the cuff bracelet, because I immediately thought "Greco-Roman Wonder Woman!" and started laughing at myself. I'll be wearing the necklace every day, too — I adore it. (I didn't manage any better pictures of myself wearing it, as I kept making weird faces.) The totebag is the perfect size for a small knitting project, my wallet, camera, phone, keys, and gum! I love the owl. Now I feel like what I sent you isn't nearly cool enough. I'll have to go a-hunting when I'm shopping today...

Y'all can catch a few more photos on my Flickr account.

Thanks again, Nymeria, for being a great swap partner, and to paradisecrane for organizing such a great swap! Hooray for ancient cultures!

I was hoping I could get a decent picture, but my digital camera sucks and just couldn't do it justice. Sad

I absolutely LOVE everything Xamonster sent me! The box, as you can see in her post, is stunning. Reminds me of a sunset, and it's my favorite colors! The craft journal is JUST what I needed. I have dozens of scraps of paper everywhere with craft ideas, lol. Now I can organize them! The yarn is lovely and she made me the most beautiful stitch markers! They are beaded and so delicate and pretty! She also sent me a bottlecap pin cushion with my initials in Egyptian and it is so cute! Thank you so much for everything! <happy crafter!>

Nuhbe, I'm so glad you like what I sent you! Here's some photos I had taken before sending:

The beaded wrist cuff (modelled by my little brother because he has smaller wrists):

The journal (the celtic cross is beaded):

And the stuff all together (the t-shirt is stencilled):

Everyones stuff is so cool.  I received from Sapphire Stiches and am thrilled, but still need to hunt down one more package.
An urn to place my heart in.  I love the owl face, he is so expressive.

A box to organize my stuff, there is a piece of edging in the box I forgot to photograph separate.

All wrapped in this anchient papyrus

I also got some peices of mokume gane, a metal laminated to creat wood grain, they are not finished so the aren't much to look at right now, but I can't wait to play with them!  It is very expensive to buy.  She also made a very cool banner for my Etsy shop in which I just sold my first thing at last week!  Thank you so much SS!  You are great.
