Hey Eveyone!

I just had to post about my mom and I's craftiness today.  Ok so a while ago I bought some super comfy but kinda blah and boring shoes for our wedding in November for $10.

See!

I liked the shoes because they were comfy but my dress has lots of beading and pearls on it and I thought they were just too plain for the dress but I didn't want to spend a fortune on new shoes.  Well my mom and I were out shopping today and we found these hair pin things for $3 that had a very similar pattern on them as my dress.  We bought two of them and hot glued them to the top of my shoes.  So for a total investment of $16 I have some fab shoes that are totally unique. We even left the pin part in so after the wedding I can pull them off the shoes and wear them in my hair if I want. Check out the pic below!

What do ya think?

Those are adorable! I wish I had thought about dressing up my wedding shoes a bit--just plain white slippers pretty much.

That's really pretty...and I kind of like the look of the pin still on it

That is the epitome of wedding craftiness, cawfeehouse! Your shoes are adorable -- you'll have to send pics of them with your dress! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding...

The shoes look great!  But aren't you afraid the pin will stab your foot?  Have you tried walking -- and dancing -- in the shoes?

I own power tools, and I'm not afraid to use them!

I saw these shoes in another thread, they are great!  I thought you might have designed the beading and took hours to add the detail and it looks like it took a helluva lot more time than just gluing in place! What a great job!!
