I made this skirt for myself (i think it was last week) because my friend wanted to wear a dress to school the next day and said 'you wear one too' so I said 'Okay!' then I realized I didn't have one to wear, so I made this that evening...just your typical circle skirt with quite a wide waistband (i have to admit I was scared to try a circle skirt because I thought it would be too short) anyways I decided I wanted to be unique so I gave it a lace-up front so it would fit better. Now for the pics (sorry for the crappy picture quality):

The front (you can sort of see where it laces up in the front):

And the side:

I know I didnt line up the skirt and the waistband together too well, but it's my first try at a skirt.

This is fantastic!  It would go nice with a pair of Vans...I don't know why I always pair checkered things with Vans...

It looks good, even for a first try.  I am impressed!

I like the big waistband! Your skirt is super cute. I think the laces looks really nice and original.

You did a great job, especially for a first time. From what I can see, it's as good as any store made skirt. The waistband is a nice touch. Not that I'm checking you out, but it's very flattering for your bum. Yay you!! I bet it was a hit.
