Excess sock yarn...

After I knit a pair of socks I always have a little bit of sock yarn left over. I don't really wear wrist bands and I have absolutely no use for Knitty's condom cozy lol... so do you have any other ideas on what I could knit this into?

you could save them up and do stripey socks.  Or argyle socks.  I fear the argyle, but I'll be making a pair in the near future...

Cell phone cozy made like a sock, ribbed and open at the top (so you can get your phone out easily)?

Sachet for your closet or dresser drawers?

how about some wrist warmer type things?  Or gloves?(that's another scary thought)
