I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for asking this, but...

How do the stitchalongs work?
Does everybody do a theme, or a same pattern?
Do people freehand their designs, or are they working from an established pattern?
What size projects do people do for the stitchalongs?

My friend got my into xstitch late last year, and I love the things I'm seeing in this forum (the Nintendo-themed stuff is making me drool, and I'm getting a bunch of ideas from other peoples' work--though I'm terrible at art so I don't anticipate freehanding a design), and stitchalongs look like they could be a lot of fun!!!  Anyway.  If this is the wrong place, let me know and I can delete it or whatever..

Hey there~
Not sure if you still needed answers, a stitchalong can last for months. Depending on the theme of the stitchalong depends on what you do (Nintendo, Aunt Martha, Sea...).The needlework you do can be done anyway you want as long as you stick to the theme. The size and layout depend on you, unless there are specific guidelines to the stitchalong
