i don't have much experience using stencils--can i ask why you used a sponge instead of a brush to apply the paint? and is the paint specifically for fabric, or something you had around?

first of all, i got really confused w/ you name... ive always been LAYzbones... b/c my last name is lay.. anyway... i got it now... i use fabric paint i got from michaels... but you just paint it on and then let it dry and iron it... and then its all good... i like it b/c it doesnt really add to the fabric... it just soaks in and is soft like the rest of the cloth... i used a sponge b/c its what i found lying around the house... and it gets an ample amount of paint into the shirt... then i used a small brush to touch up the lines that held the inside of the stencil.. good luck!
