Those look amazing. They look like they hold their shape well.  I always want to make home made lighting but lamp kits intimidate me. Good job.

Glad you like them Grin.....................they are made from strips of plastic which I collect from factories. The plastic strips are used to hold boxes onto pallets. I collect it then straighten it out and weave it into large flat sheets and then finally roll it into a tube shape and inter weave the lose ends where the join is. The inside in these pics is full of blue christmas lights but you can use a strip/tube lamp.

I love to recycle and this is mostly recycled except for the lamps inside. There is no glue or anything used just weaving.

Cheesy thank you
Yeah they don't look much in the daylight but at night they look fine especially in the garden for a BBQ or party.

These are wonderful!! What a great use for "trash." I never would have guessed that these were made out of those little plastic thingies. Well done!

Those are beautiful, I especially like the blue one.

Would you mind elaborating a on how you get the plastic strips - like do you call around to different factories asking for them, or do you just go around the back of the factories and look for a pile of them that the factory threw out? How are you able to get them in different colors? I've only ever seen clear strips like that.

Sorry for so many questions. I'd like to use those kind of strips to try and make storage baskets (I don't think I could pull off a lamp though)
